汉乐府
青青园中葵，朝露待日晞。
Green are the garden sunflowers wet with dew,
Awaiting the sun who's to rise anew.
阳春布德泽，万物生光辉。
The spring benign is lavishing her favor
On all things, which are glowing with splendor.
常恐秋节至，焜黄华叶衰。
In their lush growth there's still the fear
That they will wither when autumn comes near.
百川东到海，何时复西归？
All the rivers eastward to the seas flow,
When have the waters ever return'd,though?
少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲。
One who in his youth does not take great pains,
When old, will but regret and grieve in vain.
"A Long Song", originally name of the music, is used as the title of this Music-Institute song, which admonishes people against whiling away their time by means of analogy.
